Animal Cruelty at Westwood Cross

Now, I'm not a 'tree hugger/veggie/save the red ant' type of guy, but I don't like cruelty to animals full stop.
So i was disappointed to see that at Westwood Cross yesterday ( yes, I hate the place for what it's done to our Thanet town centres, but I had to go there) and they had a rather grotty looking French Market. well some of it was French anyway. Having stalls selling French food produce might be acceptable but there was some pretty pathetic clothes and ornament stalls, and they didn't look very French to me.
However, back to the point, one of the stalls was selling Foie Gras. This is already been banned by 15 countries because of the cruel methods of production, force feeding ducks and geese thorough metal pipes until their livers are 10 times normal size. The City of York was the first local authority in the UK to ban Foie Gras from sale at any place it has jurisdiction over, and written to all the local restaurants to get them to stop serving it.
So come on Thanet Council, take the lead in Kent, stop the sale at Westwood Cross of this barbaric food product.
